In my Graphic Design classes, we war told to get a sketch book so we would start looking at different ads. Realizing why we look at it, why we don’t use what they offer, etc. etc.
I found two ads this weekend. Initially appealing, but eventually disappointing.
One was a Zumbathon (crazy, I know, cause I am SO not athletic). The picture was full of motion, like the silhouette iPod ads from like, ’03 or something. But the dates and things were hard to find, and by the time I had, I’d practically lost interest.
The other was for a 5k run. The text was young and kind of interesting, a cross between grunge and cowboy. The heading was vaguely circular, ‘On the Go 2 Big Mo’ (Big Mountain) the 5k was in the center. Eh, an okay look. But my main problem was that the 4 was a different shade of gray, and ginormously disproportional. It kind of makes you wonder if its like, a 4k run or something.
I totally forgot to put it in my sketchbook. >_> I’ll have to go back to Super One in a couple of days then.
